Fantastic Fest 2015 Reveals A World Of Weird With Second Wave
Any genre fan attending Fantastic Fest 2015 is going to lose their collective minds. The international madness (in addition to the first wave I reported on last month) that is going to descend upon Austin is jaw dropping.

Opening night will feature the US Premiere of Yorgos Lanthimos' The Lobster, a multi-country production that focuses on the surreal examination of human connections. Fantastic Fest will also host the World Premiere of Lazer Team, the first feature from web series maestros Rooster Teeth. Director Matt Hullum and cast members Burnie Burns, Alan Ritchson, Colton Dunn, Michael Jones, and Gavin Free will be in attendance to celebrate the highly anticipated sci-fi comedy and join Fantastic Fest's official opening night party, presented by Rooster Teeth.

Returning champions of oddball cinema return, such as Ben Wheatley with the adrenaline shot High-Rise while Jeremy Saulnier delivers Patrick Stewart living the whitey thug life in Green Room. You can also catch Ridley Scott's sci-fi epic The Martian, Madd Mikkelsen acting nasty in Men And Chicken, a Mario Bava remake in the form of Rabid Dogs, the hotly anticipated, proto-Salem Witch Trial Puritan shocker The Witch, Takashi Miike's Yakuza Apocalypse, the Klovn sequel Klovn Forever, Britt Marling in another no-doubt excellent role in the Civil War survival film The Keeping Room, and the never-released-in-the-US Belladonna of Sadness from Japan, among many other incredible titles.

"This is a big year for genre cinema. We're exceptionally proud to honor incredible filmmakers and welcome back some of Fantastic Fest's favorites," said Tim League, Fantastic Fest and Alamo Drafthouse CEO/Founder, in an official statement.

Additionally, Itchy-O will perform in Austin for the first time. Festival director Kristen Bell described as "a blazing, 32-member aural assault from the darkest depths of Colorado, Itchy-O is a wholly immersive, musical experience on a massive scale. We cannot wait for them to unleash their percussive mayhem on our audience as hysteria has a welcome home at Fantastic Fest."

Believe it or not, there will be a third wave coming our way soon, but for now, check out this incredible second wave of titles:
