Watch Special Animation Clip, Character Featurette and Behind-the-Scenes Video For SNOWPIERCER

Earlier today, the special live internet showcase for the highly anticipated Korean/American sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer with director Bong Joon-ho and Korean cast Song Kang-ho and Ko A-sung was broadcast online. Following the live event, several promotional videos that were launched during the showcase have been released. These include an animation clip that tells the very beginning of the story, a character featurette with cast interviews and a behind-the-scenes video that provides an inside look at the elaborate train set. 

Based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette, the film marks Bong's English-language debut with a cast that includes Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Ewen Bremner, Alison Pill, John Hurt and Ed Harris.

Snowpiercer is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.

The theatrical release date in South Korea is August 1st.  You'll find the videos embedded below.
