Have Your Say: On The 16th Of December, I Will...
So, yeah. New Star Wars is coming, in 3D and 3D IMAX even. Will you be making an extra effort to see it on opening day, if possible?

Finish this sentence: "On the 16th of December, I will..."
Possible answers include:

...see Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
...see Star Wars: The Force Awakens twice.
...see Star Wars: The Force Awakens three times.
...have already seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens because I live in Los Angeles and it premiered on the 14th.
...have already seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens, twice, because I live in Los Angeles.
...want to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens but cannot, as I live in Japan.
...want to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens but cannot, as I live in the United States but not near a sneak preview place like Los Angeles and it premieres on the 18th.
...will not see Star Wars: The Force Awakens because meh...
...will not see Star Wars: The Force Awakens because it's directed by Jar Jar Abrams.
...will not see Star Wars: The Force Awakens because it's Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
...will re-re-re-re-watch the original trilogy, and deny anything else labeled Star Wars exists.
...will try to illegally film and upload Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
...will try to illegally download Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
...will try to illegally download Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and be surprised and confused that the file only contains lesbian porn.
...hope everybody will keep the spoilers hidden until I see Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
...hope everybody will keep the spoilers hidden until I see Star Wars: The Force Awakens on legal download.
...hope everybody will keep the spoilers hidden until I see Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu-ray.
...hope everybody will keep the spoilers hidden until my Star Wars: The Force Awakens illegal download has finished.
...wait, what is so special about December 16th?!

Ard VijnDecember 1, 2015 1:15 PM

Me, I might go for the first option...

Unflinching_EyeDecember 1, 2015 1:43 PM

Got tickets for the 20th, Sunday afternoon. Hopefully won't be surrounded by talking/yelling kids. Is there a review embargo on it til the 18th?

Alex PerrettiDecember 1, 2015 2:09 PM

I will... stay far away from the internet since I won't see it until the 17th.

Thing One n' Two ThingsDecember 1, 2015 6:00 PM

I will begin counting the hours until everybody shuts the fuck up about Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

ToryKDecember 1, 2015 7:48 PM

God, I know! Wait, no, I don't. I'll be counting down the hours till the *19th*, when I'll finally get to see it with Dear Ol' Dad.

Paul MDecember 1, 2015 9:07 PM

I'll wait. It could still suck. This guy did kill Star Trek don't forget.

cjohnstonDecember 2, 2015 12:00 AM

..probably Will just kinda step back for a little bit - at least until the dust settles.....
*i just DEARLY Hope the man doesn't make a mess of things..........

.................On that day (and every day prior and forthcoming for that matter..) i WILL however (still) be impatiently looking at my hourglass counting down the x until a.) February 12th 2016; b.) March 25th 2016; and finally, c.) August 5th of 2016..

UilickMcGeeDecember 2, 2015 3:46 AM

I personally will be Matt Damon'ing myself on a distant planet for several months while initial waves of insane joy and/or rage blow over. I'm betting I come back and the whole place is run by apes.

Angry, human-hating apes.

Ard VijnDecember 2, 2015 7:03 AM

Seventeenth, eighteenth, depending on where you are. The embargoes are strong with this one...

YojimboDecember 2, 2015 8:41 AM

I find if you Tase a few of the nosiest kids the rest shut up and stow their mobile devices.

YojimboDecember 2, 2015 8:43 AM

That's to expensive would it not be cheaper and easier just to buy your own Island and populate it with whom you want.
Space rations taste shit.

UilickMcGeeDecember 2, 2015 4:01 PM

Money is no issue. I'll just Michael Caine together a space shuttle, crew and wise-cracking robot no bother. Anything is possible when actors can be verbs.

YojimboDecember 2, 2015 4:37 PM

Now that you mention it directors can be verbs too,
I think I will Jodorowsky myself a continent.

UilickMcGeeDecember 2, 2015 4:50 PM

Ok, I can't top that. That's...yeah, can't beat that.

Ard VijnDecember 2, 2015 8:37 PM

Oh, do try? This was about to become one of the best thread discussions ever! Can we at least Saul Bass an awesome credit sequence to it?

ToryKDecember 2, 2015 11:49 PM

And Speed Racer a killer tune to go along with the visuals? I dunno. Maybe he'd rather Damon Lindelof this discussion and leave us hanging.

I'm clearly not as good at this as others, but it IS fun.

Dan J CaslawDecember 3, 2015 5:50 AM

SW:TFA? Pah! This year's the 30th anniversary of Starchaser :The Legend of Orin, a movie that to 9 year old me, was everything Star Wars was hyped up as being, but wasn't. Plus there was a notable lack of annoying-as-fuck robots.

For real. Serious talk.

Michael LangDecember 3, 2015 11:04 AM

....I will definiently not be seeing this Stars Wars film....I will go to a good movie instead.

YojimboDecember 3, 2015 2:02 PM

Saul Bass credits and a Speed Racer theme tune nice.
Damon Lindelofing the discussion is very dangerous.
Its akin to experiencing a near death experience in which you move towards the light and your sure you can hear the songs of angels, feel the winds of heaven ruffle your hair.
Then nothing everything goes black and your left floating in a cold expansive empty vacuum.
So while I float in nothingness I think I will Pedro Almodovar a female wise cracking droid in a Robert Mitchum Night of the Hunter combat chassis for UilickMcGee.
