The Many Faces Of Shia LaBeouf
This week, David Ayer's World War II tank film Fury premieres. And while it is oh-so-tempting to dedicate this week's quiz to one of the two Brads in the film, I decided to go with Shia LaBeouf instead. We'll have more Brad later for sure. With Shia, though...
When do an actor's off-screen shenanigans overshadow his on-screen performances, to the point that you no longer can simply enjoy them in a film? Talented or not, for the past year Shia LaBeouf has been teetering dangerously close to that edge.
Still, when you watch a good film with him in it, he doesn't wreck it, and often manages to surprise. And when you watch a bad film with him in it, he often turns out not to be the thing which makes it bad. For example, you may hate the focus and inclusion of his characters in the first three Transformers films, or even the fourth Indiana Jones movie, but he performs in those films exactly as if he was born in them. And by all accounts, the same applies to his current role in Fury.
So once again I'm going to use ten close-ups of a, well, ... sort-of favourite thespian, to make a quiz. Click through the images and guess which ten movies they're from. No competition, no prizes, just for fun. Try to see how far you get without using IMDb.
And I'll post the answers next Thursday (earlier if Art Vandelay or someone else gets all ten of them right).
