GONE GIRL Trio To Reunite For STRANGERS ON A TRAIN Remake
THR broke the news earlier today that Gone Girl director David Fincher, screenwriter Gillian Flynn and actor Ben Affleck are getting back together to remake Alfred Hitchcock's 1951 film Strangers on a Train. Hitchcock's film was an adaptation of the 1950 novel by Patricia Highsmith.

The project, under the working title Strangers, would see Affleck star as a character similar to Farley Granger's tennis star who meets a charming psychopath. Fincher's version would be a more modern take on the story.

Fincher and Flynn are currently working together on adapting the amazing UK television show Utopia for HBO (pleasedon'tsuckpleasedon'tsuckpleasedon'tsuck).
