Set to make its premiere in the US Dramatic competition at Sundance in January, Upstream Color is Shane Carruth's long-awaited second feature after his 2004 Grand Jury Prize winning time-travel flick Primer. After a vague if enticing plot synopsis and a small collection of provocative stills, including the one you see above of Carruth in a bathtub with Amy Seimetz , today brings us the first real look at the movie itself in the form of a teaser trailer, and well... if it isn't a spectacular and altogether head-scratching 53 seconds. Have a watch below and let us know what you think in the comments. Again, here is the plot synopsis from the Sundance program:
A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an
ageless organism. Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to
assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives.
