Daytime Drinking director Noh Young-seok's
Intruders came into the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival as one of my most anticipated screenings, the story of a screenwriter in a remote cabin accosted by various locals as he tries to meet a deadline proving a strong lure. Noh has a well deserved reputation as one of the brightest young talents in Korea these days so expectations were quite high which made the screening somewhat perplexing as it both is and is not what you expect it to be. And that quality is one that has really helped the film to linger over time.
But now you can get a taste of it yourself with the release of the first trailer. This focuses very much on the thriller elements of the film, which is certainly one approach to it although it is also shot through with dark humor and social satire. Take a look below.
