MAN OF STEEL Teasers Are Here!
Two teasers have just been released for Man of Steel, the much anticipated reboot in the Superman franchise.  The film is directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan. The cast includes Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as Zod, Russell Crowe as Jor El and Kevin Costner as Pa Kent.

Synopsis: Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope - Superman.

Man of Steel will open on June 14, 2013. Embedded below are two teaser trailers, which are identical except for the voiceovers.

I hope this isn't just a trailer spin and that the entire film takes a more detached, meditative tone. I like the original Superman but I don't think that they're going to be able to recreate the spirit of that film in these times. Better off going in a completely different direction. I've never really liked Superman but if Nolan and Snyder approached his mythology in a similar way to what Shamalyan did in Unbreakable then count me curious. Snyder may be shit when it comes to writing but he's undeniably talented when it comes to visuals; with a strong creative force like Nolan steering and reigning him in I think that this could actually work.

I felt very underwhelmed by this trailer while watching TDKR this weekend..they could have given us at least a shot of the new General Zod...
