First Footage From THE LADY With Luc Besson Interview
CNN has posted a video interview with director Luc Besson talking about his latest film The Lady, a biopic drama based on pro-democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi.  The video contains a brief footage from the trailer followed by a discussion that ranges from what initially drew him to the project, the release of Suu Kyi while he was in the middle of shooting, the casting of Michelle Yeoh in the lead role and his meeting with the actual Burma's national heroine.
The Lady is an epic love story about how an extraordinary couple and family sacrifice their happiness at great human cost for a higher cause. This is the story of Aung San Suu Kyi and her husband, Michael Aris. Despite distance, long separations, and a dangerously hostile regime, their love endures until the very end. A story of devotion and human understanding set against a background of political turmoil which continues today. The Lady also is the story of the peaceful quest of the woman who is at the core of Burma's democracy movement.
The Lady will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.  The theatrical release date in France is on November 30th. You'll find the 6-minute video embedded below.
