The Next Volley Of Argentine Indie Horror Comes With CURSED BASTARDS
That Argentina is home to a bustling independent horror scene is not at all news to long time readers of ScreenAnarchy. We've been writing about the scene there for years now but with films like Sudor Frio (Cold Sweat) making waves at major festivals like SXSW the world is starting to take notice. And it would appear that Demian Rugna and Fabian Forte's Malditos Sean (Cursed Bastards) is leading the charge for the next volley of extreme Argentine cinema.
Like most films from this movement the budget limits of Rugna and Forte's black magic tinged offering are fairly obvious. But so is the talent of its creators and audiences are already taking notice with the film already made an official selection of Amsterdam's Imagine festival and Portugal's FantasPorto.
There doesn't appear to be an English synopsis for this one anywhere but the trailer - embedded below - does include English subtitles for your viewing pleasure.
