A couple of days ago I posted some skeleton details about the upcoming Texas Frightmare Weekend, but they just posted a real schedule of events and it is PACKED with good stuff.  I just wanted to go over some of the highlights, in case anyone capable of coming is still on the fence.

Thursday, April 28th: The Offpsring/The Woman Lucky McKee Double Feature
Texas Frightmare Weekend is pleased to announce the Texas premiere of Lucky McKee's controversial film THE WOMAN at the Studio Movie Grill (1600 South Stemmons, Lewisville, TX). The presentation will include red carpet entrances by McKee as well as the film's stars Pollyanna McIntosh, Sean Bridgers and Shyla Molhusen.

McKee's THE WOMAN (produced by OFFSPRING director Andrew van den Houten) follows the horror that results when a successful country lawyer captures a wild woman in the woods and forces his family to help him "civilize" her. The film's premiere screening earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival turned into a controversial event after one audience member hurt themselves trying to exit the theater and another audience member accosted McKee as the director attempted to begin a post screening Q&A because both people had become so completely distressed and upset by the intense content and violence in the film. THE WOMAN also stars Angela Bettis and Lauren Ashley Carter.

The film also owes the casting of Shyla Molhusen to TFW as McKee's father discovered the daughter of Artwith Designs Latex owner Kurt Molhusen at last year's event. Molhusen has been a vendor at the convention each year since it's inception in 2006.

There will also be TONS of vendors.  The last time I was there it was almost overwhelming, so much cool stuff to check out and buy!  This is going to be a fun time.  I regret that there is only one of me and I can only attend on Friday, but the rest of you should have a ton of fun.

Texas Frightmare Weekend will be happening at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Irving, TX from Friday, April 29th though Sunday, May 1st.  The hotel is completely booked, but there are a lot of others around.   Check the links below for a full schedule and ticket link.
