Glasner And Vogel Together Again, Looking For MERCY
Regular collaborators German director Matthias Glasner (The Free Will, This Is Love) and actor Jürgen Vogel are working together again on a new film Mercy. Production began last week in Hammerfest, Norway.
The story revolves around a couple who have left Germany and begun a new life in Norway, near the polar circle. A few months after their arrival, she causes an accident and flees, but paradoxically, this grave secret binds the couple together.
Playing Vogel's wife is Austrian actress Birgit Minichmayr.

And there is also something extra nice about this new project. The screenwriter for Mercy is Danish writer Kim Fupz Aakeson who also wrote A Somewhat Gentle Man which was a favorite of ours when we caught it in Austin back in September.
