Watch New Trailer For Tsukamoto Shinya's A SNAKE OF JUNE
In their continuing quest to deliver the finest offbeat East Asian cinema to the English speaking world, the UK's Third Window Films presents Tsukamoto Shinya's A Snake of June on Blu-ray, this September 28th. To celebrate the new release, they've cut a gripping new trailer for the divisive classic, created by Simon Halsell. Halsell also co-directed the incredible Korean language revenge short If I Had A Heart, well worth checking out!

A Snake of June, as we previously reported, will be presented for the first time anywhere in HD with some exclusive bonus features. The new transfer, supervised by Tsukamoto, will be in the director's preferred "blue version" (the only way I've ever seen it, for what it's worth). In addition to the new transfer, the disc will also include a brand new interview with the director, a feature length commentary from Tom Mes, author of Iron Man: The Cinema a Shinya Tsukamoto, a 20 minute documentary regarding the film's original release in Japan, and this brand new trailer. Oh, and for the collector geeks out there, this disc will feature a slipcover like Third Window's previous Tsukamoto Blu-rays.

I'm very excited about this release, and excited that Third Window was able to rescue these gems from complete obscurity and release them on Blu-ray. If the previous Tsukamoto discs are anything to go by, you should all be just as excited!

A Snake of June debuts on Blu-ray in the UK on September 28th.
