That Gum You Like Is Going To Come Back In Style: A Return For TWIN PEAKS?
On June 10th 1991, Special Agent Dale Cooper entered the Black Lodge while his evil doppelganger exited. And we know from events in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me that Cooper would stay there for the next 25 years. And now it would appear that he's preparing to emerge with Twin Peaks creators David Lynch and Mark Frost tweeting simultaneously at 11:30am this morning

We don't know what they're planning. We know that it's arrival is likely a year or two away (unless of course the intent is to return to the town and deal with the doppelganger for a bit before the actual Cooper returns) but whatever it is I'm strapping in and very happily getting ready for something weird.

don't count any chickens just yet.. this is a rumour that comes around annually if not more so... the big question i think is, ( if this does happen) what will be the launchpad for it? the end of the tv series? or the ( criminally , tragically underrated and scorned) movie?

i don't think mark frosts involvement would make a huge difference. and for those who are acquainted with the movie, where CAN you go when you have had laura (as angel), agent cooper, bob, uncle leland, the backwards talking man in the lodge? the film is maybe lynch's darkest and i think most willfully anti-hollywood... beautiful surealism and of all his work the one i find repays most viewings and i have seen most of his work so many times i have lost count... so i am totally equivocal about this... besides i had read that lynch had retired form film -making... we shall see .. perhaps

I hope Lynch shoots with film, or a good digital camera with a good cinematographer. I do like his digital work for their ideas, but his film films look amazing and gives an extra dreamlike reality to the visuals.
