Hugh Laurie Could Be The Villain Of TOMORROWLAND
British actor Hugh Laurie is in talks to take the role of villain in Disney's super top-secret sci-fi flick Tomorrowland, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project stars George Clooney and will be directed by Brad Bird. The script was penned by Damon Lindelof (Star Trek Into DarknessPrometheus and Lost) and Jeff Jensen, an editor at Entertainment Weekly.

The plot of the movie project, which until a couple of weeks ago was being called 1952, is under lock and key, though it has been described as being in the vein of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Steven Spielberg's 1978 movie about a man searching for extra-terrestrials on Earth.

Even the idea of Laurie playing a villain excites me. Clooney is, well, Clooney. Brad Bird did a decent job in his first foray into live action with Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, so we wait with bated breath to see what Tomorrowland is all about before summing up for ourselves if Bird is the man for the job. Disney believes he is. Lindelof's stock took a hit when Prometheus bowed and was received, coolly. He has an opportunity to redeem himself with the new Star Trek flick though. Time will tell.
