Trailer for Sundance 2011 Entry SOUND OF MY VOICE Arrives
After playing to fairly positive buzz at Sundance 2011, Zal Batmanglij's Sound Of My Voice was bought, along with its sister film Another Earth (produced by Batmanglij, also co-written by and starring Brit Marling), by Fox Searchlight. But whereas the sci-fi melodrama got a release last summer, Batmanglij's directorial effort went without.

I for one am not surprised by this move. You see, Fox Searchlight also purchased at Sundance 2011 a particularly buzz heavy movie about a cult. One they primed for release during Oscar season. What film was this? you ask. Why, it was Martha Marcy May Marlene. So why hold back Sound Of My Voice on account of MMMM? Well, Batmanglij's film also centers around a cult, though as the trailer most certainly wants to tell you, this cult may be lead by a woman (Marling) from the future.

The trailer premiered over at Apple.com, where you can check it out in, yes, still "glorious Quicktime."

And if you want more, head on over to the film's official site, where you can watch the first 12 minutes -- "Oh, Foxy Lighty, you're such a tease!"

Sound Of My Voice releases limited in the U.S. April 27th.
