TABLOID's Joyce McKinney Speaks...
That is through a collection of quotable quotables assembled by the marketing folks for Errol Morris' Tabloid.  Now this marketing strategy is kind of like the film, insofar as a) Joyce McKinney has a fascinating way with a sound-byte and b) The film gets at curious truths by going observing Ms. McKinney in a way that she herself probably does not approve.  Actually, I know this for fact, as when McKinney was touring around with Errol Morris on the festival circuit, she would often shout 'All lies!' at the start of a screening, or call Morris out for missing the truth in the film during one or more festival Q&As.  We wonder here at twitch if it were indeed Joyce herself who threatened both the site and I with a libel suite for our positive review of the film (just after the films premiere at TIFF10) and certain questionable aspects of the whole Manacled Mormon Sex Slave tabloid story.

Long preamble to say that here is a soundboard collection of McKinney-isms that are found in the film.  And really, really (REALLY) you should go see one of the best films of the year when it lands in limited release on July 15, 2011.

By turns funny, strange, and disturbing, TABLOID is a vivid portrayal of a phenomenally driven woman whose romantic obsessions and delusions catapult her over the edge into scandal sheet notoriety and an unimaginable life.
