Teaser Premiere For Post-Apocalyptic Indie THE DAY
Though producers are still playing coy with story details regarding Doug Aarniokoski's The Day we do know a few things.
One, the shot in Canada feature revolves around the survivors of some sort of apocalyptic event.
Two, the film features a fantastic young cast with Dominic Monaghan (The Lord Of The Rings, Lost), Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism), Shawn Ashmore (Frozen, The Ruins, X-Men), Shannyn Sossamon (One Missed Call, How To Make It In America) and Cory Hardrict (Battle: Los Angeles, Gran Torino) anchoring things.
Beyond that we know very little other than that we want to know more. And full credit to them for that because the brand new teaser - embedded below and premiering exclusively here and at Bloody Disgusting this morning - makes you feel an awful lot about the film without telling you anything at all beyond the basic scenario. Which is, in my opinion, exactly what a good teaser should do.
And, yes, for the musically observant among you, the teaser audio comes courtesy of Texas post-rockers Explosions In The Sky, as appropriate a musical choice as possible for a film set after the apocalypse.
