Fantastic Fest 2018: Second Wave Includes HALLOWEEN, MAY THE DEVIL TAKE YOU, HOLD THE DARK

Fantastic Fest 2018 is now about a month away, so it's time for the second wave of programming, which includes the North American premiere of Timo Tjahjanto's May the Devil Take You and the U.S. premieres of David Gordon Green's Halloween and Jeremy Saulnier's Hold the Dark.

I'm probably most curious, though, about the world premieres in this round, including Bloodline, The Boat, Feral, Girls With Balls, Savage and Starfish. Will they emerge as unexpected discoveries in the midst of genre goodness from better-known filmmakers? Or disappear into the night? I hope for the former, but we shall see.

The festival will be held in Austin, Texas, from September 20-27. Visit the official site for more information. Below is a list of the films in the second wave; all verbiage provided by the festival.
