Trailer: Pawan Kumar Follows Up LUCIA By Making A U TURN
Indian filmmaker Pawan Kumar made a name for himself back in 2013 when he made the nation's first crowdfunded feature. That film, the Kannada language Lucia, was a trippy thriller about an insomniac who turns to a mysterious street drug to combat his condition with unpredictable results. It made the rounds at international festivals, along with spawning a remake in Tamil and a deal for a remake in Hindi, before Kumar got back on the hunt to make his next feature.

After a false start with a film he'd written titled C10H14N2, Kumar has now completed U Turn, another thriller, this one centered around a female protagonist played by Shraddha Srinath. While the plot synopsis doesn't give any details apart from the label of "mystery thriller", the first trailer is subtitled, so you can draw your own conclusions.

After seeing Lucia, I'm very excited to see what Kumar does next, and this looks like it could be worth watching out for.

U Turn is loosely scheduled for release in Early 2016.
