LUTHER Returns With Trailer For New Episodes!
All due apologies to The Wire - which in this case amounts to none - but if you've not yet experienced Luther then you've not yet experienced Idris Elba at his peak powers. The UK crime series is simply one of the best ever and that all comes down to the remarkable synergy between Elba himself and the series creator Neil Cross' titular character. And though Elba certainly has no shortage of film work these days he clearly has an affinity for the part himself as he made a point in 2015 of carving out the time to return to the role and with the air date fast approaching a full trailer for the new episodes has arrived online.

Game Of Thrones star Rose Leslie joins the cast for this outing, as does Delivery Man, Dirk Gently and Green Wing star Darren Boyd - given a chance to do something other than comedy for a change - but, really, this is all about Elba and, now, the transition to the long rumored feature film outing. Check out the trailer below.

Looks great. Surprised it's being shown on the 15th December. I thought this would have been kept for later, perhaps even Christmas day. Actually looking forward to this more than the Sherlock Christmas special.

Also good to see Darren Boyd in something that's not a comedy. He was great in the recent Fortitude. Was an especially creepy character.

I believe she's getting her own spin off show. That's been rumbled about for a while.
