MSG 2 Theatrical Trailer Will Make You Question Your Sanity
While watching Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan's autobiographical first film, MSG: The Messenger, my 10-year-old son made what is the most concise and cogent statement about this work of complete nonsense that I have seen thus far. He said, "It looks like somebody made this movie in their garage." I could have written 3,000 words on the film, and none of them would've conveyed the completely entrancing ineptitude any better.

So, of course, there's a sequel.

MSG 2 was 70% completed before the first film even arrived on cinema screens back in February 2015. With a release date set for September 18 of this same year, this must be one of the fastest turnarounds for a sequel in recent memory. What MSG: The Messenger lacked in subtlety and human-vs-elephant hand to hand combat, flamethrowers, Dune Buggy donuts (also the name of my new indie rock band), LED lit jumpsuits, rampant racism, and 8-bit water buffaloes the sequel is clearly ready to deliver. With an opening title card that reads, "Based on true events," it's going to be extremely hard to watch this with a straight face, so don't bother trying.

This is stultifying egomania at its zenith.

Watch it. Lose your mind. Tell your friends. MSG 2.
