Though war pictures set in the Middle East have been a hard sell in recent years given the ongoing nature of the conflict - nobody seems to want to pay to watch events play out on a big screen that they see on the nightly news for free, American Sniper being the only real exception - there have been at least a handful of very solid Iraq conflict themed pictures in the past few years and Krzysztofa Łukaszewicza's Karbala looks to be amongst the very highest tier of those.

Based on the true story of Polish involvement in the battle of Karbala in Iraq, the production values here are absolutely fabulous. Though there are no subtitles on the trailer there is at least a smattering of English language dialogue present to give the basic framework of the story and that's more than enough to know that this is one worth looking out for.
