Dan Gilroy's fantastic pitch black satire Nightcrawler finally hits Hong Kong cinemas on 29 January, including what is almost certainly Jake Gyllenhaal's finest performance yet. As career-driven, borderline psychotic go-getter Louis Bloom, Gyllenhaal walks that fine line between goofy, hilarious and flat-out terrifying. Bloom is determined to make it in the competitive field of late-night local news, scouring the streets of Los Angeles for a car crash or shooting he can capture on camera and sell to the highest bidder.
