Enter The Hollow Earth With New Promo For IRON SKY: THE COMING RACE
The Moon Nazis, it would appear, are looking inward. No, not in the emotional touchy-feely sense. That's not their style. They're looking inward literally, as in to the center of the earth, in this new promo for Timo Vuorensola's Iron Sky: The Coming Race.

Freshly released at the AFM is a new promo for the film, one that isn't a trailer so much as it is a bridge piece meant to fill the gap between the original Iron Sky and what is coming in the sequel. And what is coming is a major shift, clearly, one that involves lizard people at the center of the earth. Check it out below!

What to say...the first Iron Sky had a cool concept and it was a really fun movie, this sequel has a crap concept and it does not interest me. Sorry

I will totally disagree with you Bos. I have been a follower of various stories of Hollow Earth. May I suggest some light reading?

http://thetruthbehindthescenes...

"Hitler and his followers wanted to create a race of super soldiers an Ayran race (like the Atlanteans) to rule the world. They came to this conclusion through the acceptance of many occult beliefs and practices, including the Hollow Earth Theory. There is a legend which says that Hitler and his chief advisers escaped the last days of the Third Reich by going through the opening at the South Pole (Antarctica) where they discovered an entrance to the Earth’s interior."

You can disagree as much as you want dude, I still like 100 times more space nazis than stupid dinosaur-riding nazis.

In my opinion this is the only logical step the movie can take. Once you make a movie like Iron Sky, there is no going back. They can't just make a "The Downfall" now. So what they do is to top the first one and this not only a bit (that would be "boring") but as much as humanly possible. Way to go, Iron Sky, for making use of the hollow earth theory. While I think it's a bonkers theory, I think it's just incredibly perfect for this movie.

Ok....I misunderstood. I thought you were arguing the "Hollow Earth" theory, when this has been a viable discussion in regards to Hitlers lunacy.

May be stupid to you...but, the progression is 100% spot on in regards to ways the Nazis "hid themselves away" for future domination...

There is also the story of Hitler searching for the Holy Grail. Wonder if THAT could fit in here somehow?

Dorky trailer, BUT I like how they mixed the anatomical details of the Lizard race with evil psychopaths, which is essentially the same. Hollow Earth art execution will be interesting. They did a nice design of it in this trailer.

Where are the cuties????

The Hollow Earth theory was the dominate scientific theory pre 1900. Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote extensively about it including finding dinosaurs there. There's a book called "The Smoking God" (Good luck finding a copy, only handful of copies in the US) that goes more into the "science" of it as well as myths, legends and religious texts. Hindus and for that mater the Pueblos talk about the Antmen coming from inside the Earth to save us during the end times. Cmd. Perry wrote about finding a entrance to the hollow Earth during his expedition. The Nazis actually believed this as part of their pseudo religion. So Nazis, hollow Earth and dinos is actually fits this alternate reality.
