The Official Monster Fest 2014 Trailer Will Have You In Blood-Soaked Pieces

A new trailer and gorgeous poster have arrived for Monster Fest 2014, Australia's premiere genre film festival, which kicks off for 11 days and nights of depravity in Melbourne on 20 November.

Highlights of the event, which will take place at Melbourne's iconic Cinema Nova and the fully customised late night space Yah Yahs, include opening film Charlie's Farm, starring Tara Reid, Kane Hodder and Nathan Jones, and closing out with The ABCs Of Death 2. Along the way there will be screenings of a number of ScreenAnarchy favourites, including Astron 6's The Editor, Tommy Wirkola's Dead Snow 2, Eli Roth's The Green Inferno, Kevin Kolsch & Dennis Widmyer's Starry Eyes and David Gregory's documentary Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey Of Richard Stanley's Island of Doctor Moreau to name just a few.

"As weII as aImost 40 screenings, we're running a series of masterclasses called 'The Monster Fest Academy of Horror & Mayhem', which is basically a one-stop-shop for anyone interested in the art of genre filmmaking.

Featuring some of the key players in the genre world today (both international and local) participants will be guided through the genre filmmaking process from concept through to delivery, distribution and exhibition.  Never before has such a lineup of genre heavyweights been assembled in this country - Facilitated by The Loved Ones Producer Mark Lazarus, the lineup includes Jen & Sylvia Soska (American Mary), Astron 6 (Fathers Day, The Editor), Jessica Cameron (Truth or Dare), Matthew A. Brown (Julia) Ashley C. Williams (The Human Centipede), Colin and Cameron Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres), Aaron Sterns (Wolf Creek 2), Jon Hewitt (Acolytes, Turkey Shoot), Chris Brown (Daybreakers, The Proposition, The Company of Wolves)."
