BREAKING BAD Spin Off BETTER CALL SAUL Renewed Before Premiere

It's good news / bad news for fans of Breaking Bad eagerly awaiting the arrival of spinoff Better Call Saul. The bad? The premiere has been pushed back from the originally scheduled November 2014 launch to an unspecified date in early 2015. The good? AMC has already stepped up and ordered a second series of thirteen episodes to follow the initial ten.

Pitched as a prequel to the events of Breaking Bad the new series brings back Bob Odenkirk as shady lawyer Saul Goodman and Jonathan Banks as private eye / dirty former cop Mike Ehrmentraut with show creators very deliberately holding open the possibility of more crossover with familiar Breaking Bad faces.
