No Wires, No CGI, Just A Lot Of People Being Kicked In The Face.
You may not know Laurent Buson by name but if you are a fan of martial arts films there is a solid chance you have seen the screen fighter plying his trade on screen, most likely through a featured role in Michelle Yeoh star vehicle Silver Hawk or as one of the principal villains in Gareth Huw Evans' Merantau.

But outside of those larger features Buson is also part of an action film collective called Z Team, and after a string of short films they have put together their first feature, The Price Of Success. The plot is fairly standard stuff, a story of four friends - all of whom are skilled martial artists - forced to fight at the whim of a villain who has kidnapped their wives and is filming the quartet as they fight their way through the challenges he lays out for them. Not so standard, however, is the level of physical skill on display once the action kicks in with all of the principal performers showing off their very strong physical abilities. So, yes, like the headline says, no wires or CGI but lots of kicks to the face.
