Cannes Selected BORGMAN Delivers A Dark And Twisted Teaser
The selection of Alex Van Warmerdam's Borgman as part of the competition program in Cannes marks the first time a Dutch film has vied for the top prizes on the Croisette in thirty eight years. And long time fans of the dark humor of Van Warmerdam's previous work will be glad to know he hasn't changed a thing in his approach to break that streak.

BORGMAN is the central character in Alex van Warmerdam's dark, malevolent fable. Is he a dream or a demon, a twisted allegory or an all-too-real embodiment of our fears?  BORGMAN is a sinister arrival in the sealed-off streets of modern suburbia. His presence unleashes a crowing gallery of distortion around the careful fa├žade constructed by an arrogant, comfortable couple, their three children and nanny.
The first teaser for the film has arrived showcasing Van Warmerdam's deliciously macabre sense of humor. Take a look below.
