Shinkai Makoto's GARDEN OF WORDS Arrives In 2013

Japanese animator Shinkai Makoto is wasting no time between projects, announcing on his website today that his new film - titled The Garden Of Words - will release in Japanese theaters in the first half of 2013.

Titled Kotonoha no Niwa in Japanese, Shinkai offers few clues as to the story, offering only that it will be a love story in the literal Japanese meaning of the word - which translates to something closer to 'lonely sadness' - and noting the more contemporary concept of love was something imported to Japan from the west.
