R.I.P. Annette Charles (1948-2011)

Annette Charles, who played Charlene 'Cha Cha' DiGregorio in the 1978 dance classic GREASE, has passed away.

Charles acted in a number of television series, including THE FLYING NUN, GUNSMOKE, MOD SQUAD, BONANZA, THE BIONIC WOMAN, MAGNUM P.I. and THE INCREDIBLE HULK. But she is best remembered for her role as the sexy and sassy girlfriend of the Scorpions Gang's leader in the movie GREASE. "They call me Cha Cha. Because I'm the best dancer at St. Bernadette's," says her character.

Charles was diagnosed to have lung cancer just a few months ago, and died from complications of the disease in her Los Angeles home on Wednesday. She was 63.
