First Trailer For TAKEN Creators' Latest, COLOMBIANA
Writer-producer Luc Besson had a massive surprise hit on his hands when Taken hit screens a few years back and so he's now doing what any sensible producer would do under those circumstances. He's trying to do it again.
Besson has reteamed with Taken writer Robert Mark Kamen for Colombiana, another gritty action thriller the big different here being that the lead part is played by an attractive young woman - Avatar's Zoe Saldana - rather than Liam Neeson.

Twitch ran the first stills for this back in November and now the first trailer has arrived. Things are looking rather good, the film showcasing a typical Besson blend of style and grit. Check it out below.Colombiana is an action-packed international tale of a young girl unwillingly thrown into a world of brutality, and ultimately, vengeance. Cataleya Restrepo witnesses the brutal murder of her parents at the hands of vicious Colombian crime Lord, Don Luis when she is only 10 years old. Cataleya manages to escape the assassin's bullets and find her way to Chicago to the safety of her uncle Emilio. Emilio tries to steer Cataleya away from a life of crime, but she is determined to become a professional killer, find Don Luis, and avenge the death of her parents.
After the massive box-office smash Taken, Luc Besson and co-writer Robert Mark Kamen have scripted another sensational thriller that stars Avatar's Zoe Saldana as a steely-eyed assassin on the trail of her parents' killers. The fabulous international cast also features Michael Vartan (Alias, Never Been Kissed), Jordi Molla (Knight and Day, Che), Cliff Curtis (The Last Airbender, Live Free or Die Hard) and Lennie James (Tic, Snatch). Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3) directs.
