Will Ferrell, Gael Garcia Bernal And Diego Luna Enter The CASA DE MI PADRE
What's Will Ferrel doing starring opposite Mexico's two biggest stars in a movie with a Spanish title? Well, he's talking a whole lot of Spanish for one thing.
Casa De Mi Padre - or House Of My Father - is a new Matt Piedmont directed comedy starring Ferrell, Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna in a story that blends western tropes with the Mexican narco-action genre for something that looks bafflingly different and very, very funny. And, yes, Ferrell apparently speaks nothing but Spanish for the entire film.

It seems to me that there's a bit of Mel Brooks in the trailer though this is slicker by far than anything Brooks has put his name to and it's a blast to see two incredibly serious names like Bernal and Luna having this much fun opposite Ferrell. Check the trailer below.Armando Alvarez (Will Ferrell) has lived and worked on his father's ranch in Mexico his entire life. As the ranch encounters financial difficulties, Armando's younger brother Raul (Diego Luna), shows up with his new fiancé, Sonia (Genesis Rodriguez). It seems that Raul's success as an international businessman means the ranch's troubles are over as he pledges to settle all debts his father has incurred. But when Armando falls for Sonia, and Raul's business dealings turn out to be less than legit, all hell breaks loose as they find themselves in a war with Mexico's most feared drug lord, the mighty Onza (Gael Garcia Bernal).
