Watch The Wondercon THUNDERCATS Promo

With the premiere of the Studio 4C animated, Cartoon Network backed Thundercats reboot coming soon, fans at Wondercon were treated to a new two+ minute promo of footage from the show that has now found its way online. And after taking a look I really have to wonder if part of the goal here was to deliberately recreate the look and feel of 80s television animation or if that's just something that happened naturally do to budget restrictions. Because at more than one point here the frame rates, camera angles and more made me think, "Hey! It's like Hanna-Barbera!" For their sake I kind of hope that was the intended effect.
