Below is a synopsis for Ghat: The Hill Station from the production.

Carol Blaire, a young researcher from the U.K.'s Paranormal Centre, has been assigned to make a video documentary of a haunted house at India's 'Ghat: The Hill Station'. The research will give true details of the most visited haunted place in India.

Carol comes to India and meets her friend Urmi, a journalist. Carol reveals her assignment to Urmi, and tells Urmi that she needs a crew to assist her. Urmi confides in her boyfriend Ramu, an amateur director, about Carol's project. Ramu agrees to be part of the project, along with his friends Jeetu -- a sound recordist -- and Ranvir -- an actor. Urmi also joins them.

Carol divulges the details of her project to the rest of the group. She tells them about Alter Coffin's Villa at 'Ghat: The Hill Station', which is said to be haunted by the spirits of Alter and his fiancée, Susan. Legend has it that Alter and Susan were attacked by bandits at the villa. Alter was brutally beaten, and thrown off a cliff. Susan, unable to bear his death, jumped off the same cliff. Since then, it has been said that their spirits haunt the villa and the cliff. Over the years, numerous people have claimed to have seen them wandering around the cliff, while many lovers have even jumped off the same spot. The place has now come to be known as "Lover's Spot".

Rambharose, a local guide, leads the group to Alter Coffin's Villa. At the villa, and at Lover's Spot, a number of strange events occur. Carol is the first of the six to see one of the ghosts; however, the others don't believe her. Their disbelief dies before they do....
