Website and trailer for Carter Smith's BUGCRUSH

Scott Smith's "The Ruins" is regarded as one of the better pieces of horror fiction to come down the pipeline in recent years (and was thoroughly enjoyed by yours truly this past summer on vacation). Its rights were quickly snatched up for production (with Ben Stiller serving as a producer - at one point in time Stiller was slated to direct the adaptation of Smith's earlier "A Simple Plan," eventually making way for Sam Raimi).

What does all that have to do with Carter (no relation to Scott) Smith, you ask? He's signed on to co-write and direct the adaptation of The Ruins, landing the gig on the strength of his short Bugcrush, which has played a litany of festivals and received numerous plaudits. Anyone out there had a chance to see it? If so chime in with your thoughts!
