Pics and Spy Reports from Feng Xiaogang's 'The Banquet'

A slew of set reports and images came out this week from the set of Feng Xiaogang's next film, The Banquet [earlier ScreenAnarchy reports here, here and here].

Sina has posted three images of mega-star Andy Lau visiting with the director during a brief reprieve from his own shooting schedule for the film 'Mo Gong'. Particular attention should be paid to the gorgeous set design behind them as well.

AsianFanatics posted the story behind the photos including Andy Lau buying young star Daniel Wu fried chicken after successfully completing a wire stunt in one take.

HelloZiyi posted a number of images from the set as well. From these you get a good idea of costume design as well as a couple shots of more sets. Sadly, Ziyi is in none of the photos :::insert shaking of fist at the sky::: but if you scroll down further you will see the first photo of her as the empress. And her at a press conference. And the opening ceremony... sigh.
