Sigaw (The Echo) Heading For LA!
Okay all you west coast folk, here's your chance to check out a little horror film from the Phillipines that I like quite a lot ... Yam Laranas' Sigaw is a stunningly shot little piece of atmospheric horror - my full review here - and it will be a part of Screamfest LA. Sure, there are other worthwhile films there, too, but this one would be the top of my list. Check the full list of appearing films over at Fangoria.
In other Laranas news word is that he will be shooting a doc for National Geographic with the help of Chuck Gutierrez - info on his latest short here - in the coming months, before launching a new horror project in early 2006, after which he will produce Gutierrez's feature length debut. Laranas and Gutierrez both know there way around a camera ... that Geo doc is going to be stunning to look at ...
