THE LATE BLOOMER is based on author and E! News personality Ken Baker's incredible life story and forthcoming book “The Late Bloomer: A Memoir of My Body.” Baker unknowingly lived with a pituitary tumor that caused decades of sexual confusion and insecurities. But after diagnosis, a single surgery at age 28 would finally propel him through puberty and change his entire life.The film is directed by multi-hyphenate Kevin Pollak and stars Johnny Simmons, Maria Bello, Brittany Snow, Jane Lynch, J.K. Simmons, Kumail Nanjiani, Beck Bennett, and Paul Wesley.
