HERE WE ARE: Fantastic Short Available For One Week Only!
A couple of months ago, we brought you the trailer for Fabien Dubois' new short film Here We Are. A gorgeous visual and psychological peek into strange happenings in remotest Iceland, Dubois has now made the film available for viewing for one week only.
Two science students (Aladdin Serroui and Antoine Lesimple) travel to a remote part of Iceland to test a large-scale magnetic theory. But what they encounter is something larger than themselves, with ramifications that might go beyond the scope of the experiment.
One of the reasons I love (and program) short films is that, by being forced to contain a story in a short amount of time, no part of that time can be wasted. Dubois' film succeeds by giving us a complete story, told simply and without fanfare, and pairs that with some stunning natural vistas and incredible effects that might make you want to seek this place out. Watch it one the biggest screen you can, and hopefully it will be enjoyed on a big screen at some upcoming festivals.
