10 CLOVERFIELD LANE Trailer Arrives Unexpectedly: "Something's Coming"
What is it? A sequel? A spin-off?

10 Cloverfield Lane has some relationship to Matt Reeves' 2008 found-footage monster movie Cloverfield, but the first trailer doesn't come right out and say what it is, which ties in with the film's marketing profile, which has been non-existent up until now. John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and John Gallagher Jr. star. J.J. Abrams produced and Dan Trachtenberg directed.

This is really more of a teaser than a trailer, but I like it a lot. Take a look below. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on March 11.

This reminds me of the opening scene from the second season of Lost with Desmond :)
Good guy J.J Abrams..

Could be interesting to check out...

Seems a lot more interesting than Cloverfield itself :). Really did not like that movie, besides Lizzy Caplan blowing up, haha.

That's a good point of comparison, actually which I didn't realize until you mentioned it. Thanks!

I was not a big fan of 'Cloverfield' -- the found-footage approach grew wearisome, as I recall, when I saw it opening day -- but i like this "closed room" setup, and very much enjoy watching John Goodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

The second episode of the "Metal Hurlant Chronicles" TV series covered this same scenario.
