The Family Business Takes A Very Dark Turn In Super Slick Trailer For Dutch Thriller CLEAN HANDS (SCHONE HANDEN)

Europe has been a hotbed of slick crime thrillers in recent years, the continent breathing a fresh and exciting life into this most American of genres by approaching the rules of the genre from an outsider perspective and building strong characters into their stories. As another case in point, here comes the trailer for upcoming Dutch effort Clean Hands (Schone Handen) from writer-director Tjebo Penning.

Sylvia has turned a blind eye for too long to husband Eddie's flourishing drug business. When his dealing takes a (deadly) turn for the worse, however, her need to protect the lives and futures of her young children compel her to flee. But Eddie will stop at nothing to keep his wife inside the 'family'.

Production values here are absolutely fantastic and Penning's angle on the story appears very strong. This appears very much to be one to watch out for, check out the trailer below.
