Crowdfund This! Acclaimed Filmmaker Nick Ryan Brings 1916 Dublin To Life With 6 DAYS OF THE RISING

A bloody conflict whose tale has seldom been told, the 1916 Easter Rising not only permanently changed the city of Dublin but Ireland as a whole with the reverberations felt much farther than that. And now acclaimed filmmaker Nick Ryan - director of Sundance award winning doc The Summit - aims to bring The Rising to life and to do so he needs help to digitally restore Dublin to its 1916 state.

We're looking for your support to help us bring back a lost city, as we try to recreate the Dublin of 1916 before, during, and after its destruction in the Rising of 1916, for our new film 6 Days of the Rising. You can be part of bringing this city & this story to life in groundbreaking historic detail and at a scale never seen before on film by supporting our campaign.


6 Days of the Rising is the latest project from acclaimed director Nick Ryan and Image Now Films. Our campaign funding will allow us to develop proof of concept CGI tests for the creation of an immersive and fully realised Dublin city of 1916 both before and after it's destruction during the Rising, the funding will also allow us to complete script development.

Obviously chipping in for development funds is a bit of a long game play but Ryan is quality, as proven not only by his doc work but by his previous shorts and VFX efforts, and this is fertile ground. You can watch the pitch video below and support the campaign here.
