EL GIGANTE: Watch The Trailer For Gigi Saul Guerrero's Short

Contributor; Mexico City, Mexico (@EricOrtizG)

It was back in March when the Kickstarter campaign for Gigi Saul Guerrero's short film El Gigante was launched. It looked really great and, ultimately, the campaign was a complete success. Back then, I described the short as this:

There's a cannibal family on the Mexico-United States border hunting illegal Mexican immigrants, who eventually will face the ruthless villain that the badass luchador el Gigante really is. The plot also involves the family's business, a taco truck that sells human flesh.
El Gigante is based on the first chapter of Shane McKenzie's acclaimed novel Muerte con Carne and combines the theme of illegal immigration from Mexico to the United States with lots of gore and luchador action. Guerrero made the 13-minute short film with hopes of creating in the future a full feature length picture that covers McKenzie's entire book.

Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer for El Gigante has been unleashed, prior to the short's November premiere at the Mórbido Film Fest in Puebla, Mexico. Check it out below!
