New Photos From GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

The first trailer for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will drop in cinemas this coming Friday and premiere Tuesday evening on Jimmy Kimmel Live! With that coming our way it is also time to drop a handful of images on your laps to remind you of such an event.

The film stars Chris Pratt (The Lego Movie), Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista, while Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel lend their voices to the two CGI characters Rocket Raccoon and Groot. All are in full garb in the pic above. In the pics below you have a close up of Chris Pratt and his ship, the Milano.

Their stories converge in the space prison Kyln. After the characters break out, they venture to Knowhere (the severed head of a celestial being that serves as a hangout for aliens) and visit the weird menagerie of the Collector (Benicio Del Toro). They also have to avoid two villains, Ronan (Lee Pace) and Nebula (Karen Gillan), who are in hot pursuit of Quill's orb, which has the power to destroy the galaxy.

I'm getting the sense that Guardians is going to be one of those sleeper hits this summer. It certainly will not hurt its chances now that The Lego Movie is quickly becoming a massive hit. The more that Pratt gets exposure for that the more likely audiences will flock to see Guardians and find out who is the voice of Emmet. Y'know. If you are not already watching Parks and Recreation religiously.
