Amazing 4-Minute Trailer For Miyazaki Hayao's THE WIND RISES (KAZE TACHINU)!
It has been a long 5 years since Master animator Miyazaki Hayao's last film Ponyo was released. The very exciting news for all his fans and lovers of animated films in general is of course the release of his new film The Wind Rises (Kaze Tachinu) in Japan tomorrow. We now have the film's 4-minute trailer, previously only shown in Japanese theaters, to share with you.

The Wind Rises is based on the life of Horikoshi Jiro, the man who designed the Zero fighter plane used in the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II, and focuses on a time when Japan was struggling with recession, infectious outbreaks and natural disasters. The trailer looks both beautiful and epic, and you can check it out below. (The trailer starts at the 1:17 mark in the video.)

At 1:26, Jiro Horikoshi looks like Satsuki and Mei's father.

Okay, the song is touching and fits the scene. You're right. It's a tearjerker movie and it's beautiful.
