Director Erik Matti needs no introduction to long time readers of ScreenAnarchy. The director of diverse genre fare such as Pasiyam, Exodus and Gagamboy, Matti has long been a favorite around these parts. And while we wait for the chance to see his latest - Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles - on these shores he's cooked up a little something to tide us over.

Matti is the fourth and final director in the YOMYOMF network's series of Silent Terror short films, four shorts from directors around Asia united by the absence of dialog. And they may very well have held back the best for last. The official synopsis - A timid man's mundane life takes a turn when he's awakened by a vision of the Virgin Mary - gives very little away but trust me: It's very well worth your time.
