Second Trailer For Andrew Stanton's JOHN CARTER
There's no doubt about it. Disney is botching the poster campaign for Andrew Stanton's upcoming scifi adventure John Carter something fierce. It's shocking, in fact, just how incredibly off the mark the normally marketing savvy giant is with this one.

There's also no doubt from watching this second trailer that Stanton has not made the film version of the Edgar Rice Burroughs story that I would have personally made for my own consumption.

That's fine, though. Because this film wasn't made for me. This film was made for my ten year old son. And this new trailer is absolutely going to blow The Boy's mind.

Civil War vet John Carter is transplanted to Mars, where he discovers a lush, wildly diverse planet whose main inhabitants are 12-foot tall green barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Dejah Thoris, Princess of Helium, who is in desperate need of a savior.

Space ships, swords, bizarre creatures and lots of action ... yep, this is going to tick a lot of boxes for a youthful audience and with Stanton at the helm I expect a reasonable amount of care to be paid to the characters as well. Check the new trailer below.
