Byron Mann joins Hong Kong thriller COLD WAR
It has been announced that Byron Mann has joined the cast of Hong Kong cop thriller COLD WAR, alongside the likes of such Asian heavyweights as Andy Lau, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Aaron Kwok, Gordon Lam, Andy On and Charlie Young.

The film is produced by Ivy Ho, Matthew Tang and veteran Bill Kong, whose long list of credits includes CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON, THE HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS, LUST CAUTION and Zhang Yimou's forthcoming THE FLOWERS OF WAR, starring Christian Bale. COLD WAR is a violent, high-octane cop thriller that begins with a nerve-jangling hostage situation and rapidly spirals out of control. The film is being directed by Longman Leung and Sunny Luk, with filming expected to wrap at the end of the year.

Mann is probably best remembered for his roles in STREETFIGHTER and CRYING FREEMAN, but has recently wrapped on Thai-set thriller A STRANGER IN PARADISE, alongside Stuart Townsend. He will next be gracing our screens in RZA's hugely-anticipated martial arts flick, THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS, opposite Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu and Cung Le - to name but a few. In COLD WAR Mann plays an ex-cop who finds himself embroiled in the hostage situation, meaning he well be portraying one of the villains. Either way, seeing another actor with proven martial arts prowess joining the cast only increases my interest in a film that is already one of the sure-fire must-sees in 2012.
