Pawan Kalyan's PANJAA First Look Promises Action
I don't really know anything about this film, but the first time I saw that teaser poster, I was sold!

Panjaa is the new film from Power Star Pawan Kalyan, and the debut Telugu film from veteran of Tamil cinema, Vishnuvardhan.  Pawan Kalyan is one of Tollywood's biggest stars, carrying everything from hardcore action like this film to sappy romances on his back.  Vishnuvardhan has made a pretty big splash in Tamil cinema, especially with his Don remake, Billa, from 2007.

The supporting cast and crew also look pretty solid on this film.  Pan-Indian character Jackie Shroff is set to play the villain, with Brahmanandam and Ali on set to provide comic relief.  The music is in the capable hands of Yuvan Shankar Raja and the cinematography is being handled by P.S. Vinod, who recently shot Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan and Ram Gopal Varma's Rakht Charitra.

I see lots of explosions in this trailer, and that is a good thing.  There is also some seemingly inappropriate cross cutting with jaunty dance sequences, and that is a bit more worrying.  South Indian films do wonderful action, but still have trouble weaving the songs into the narrative in an appropriate way.  This something that Bollywood seems to have a grip on for the most part, and is one lesson I wish the South Indian film industries could take from them.
